Latest Baufritz house in Berkshire assembled

Our latest building project in the UK is an elegant two-storey family home situated in a picturesque village near Reading. It replaces a detached house that previously stood on the site. In glorious weather, the team who had travelled out especially from Germany assembled the waterproof shell within just six days.

The house is designed in a modernist style with clean lines and a combination of a shallow hip and flat roofs. The ground floor is taken up by an open-plan kitchen, dining and living space that projects into the garden at interesting angles. A roof terrace that can be accessed from the master bedroom offers views over the large garden with mature trees.

The main wall elements were prefabricated at our headquarters in Germany. Thanks to the flexibility of our construction system, bespoke features such as curved walls inside the house, corner windows on the first floor and a post-and-beam construction with full glazing on the double height entrance hall were no problem. The house is now ready to be fitted out.
