Natureplus confirms our top eco credentials

The environmental and consumer organisation natureplus has recertified two of our products: Our proprietary HOIZ insulation and the Baufritz construction system.

Made with spruce sawdust from our own factory, our HOIZ insulation has gained ETA and EPD approval and is free from chemicals such as flame retardant or biocides. Natural soda is added to the sawdust to give it the required physical properties.

Natureplus also regularly carries out an ecological assessment our wall, roof and ceiling constructions. As a result, we have the first and – thanks to recertification – still the only complete construction system on the market to be accredited by natureplus. Natureplus is a non-profit, democratically organised association of building professionals, experts and representatives of civil society that is committed to transforming construction in many European countries. Natureplus not only analyses and evaluates the health properties of building materials, it also considers whether the raw materials are extracted and processed in an environmentally friendly way, how they are used at the end of their life cycle, and whether production is socially responsible.
