Baufritz has received numerous accolades in recent years, including the German Environmental Award and the German Sustainability Prize. But accolades like these are only worth their salt if we follow them up with sustainable action.

On International Women’s Day, we need to remind ourselves that there is still a lot to be done to achieve gender equality for women and girls: For example, at Baufritz UK, women still account for under 20 percent of our workforce. Baufritz is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. SDG 5 aims, among other things, to end all forms of discrimination against women and girls, ensure women’s participation and equal opportunities in political, economic and public life, and give women and girls equal rights to access to land, property and financial services. So let’s do it!

#ForAllWomenAndGirls is the UN’s hashtag for International Women’s Day 2025. To all women and girls out there: Follow your dreams and don’t let anything get in your way! As a construction company, we are delighted to see more girls and women showing an interest in learning a skilled trade and not letting themselves be put off, even if their chosen profession is still considered a traditionally male job.
